Hotel Malleberg

 

One of my favourite hospitality shoots so far took place at Hotel Malleberg, a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Bruges. The building is full of history, with cozy rooms, wooden beams and a warm, family-run atmosphere.

I wanted to capture the feeling of waking up here, the quiet charm of the courtyard, the way light falls through the windows in the morning. The result is a series that shows not only the hotel, but the sense of calm and welcome it gives its guests.

Traiteur Leconte

 

Shooting for Traiteur Leconte was a beautiful glimpse into a true family business. Father, mother and children work side by side to create unforgettable dining experiences, each bringing their own touch to the kitchen and the service.

I focused on what was happening: the rhythm of the kitchen, the care of the staff, the colours and textures of the food as it came together. The result is a series that shows not just their dishes, but the passion and teamwork that make their events so special.

Kasteel te Lake

 

Shooting at Kasteel Te Lake felt like stepping into history in the middle of a peaceful park. This 18th-century moated castle, with its salons, orangerie and tree-lined driveway, is a place where past and present meet and create space for new stories.

I focused on the atmosphere: the way light played on old walls, the quiet reflection of the water and the balance between indoors and outdoors. The result is a series that shows how nature, space and people come together to create lasting memories.

Hotel Gaia

 

Photographing at Hotel Gaia felt like entering a world where each detail is curated to surprise and soothe. Nestled in woodland just outside Deventer, the hotel’s themed rooms, vibrant décor, vegetarian and vegan restaurant, and cozy atmosphere offer a retreat that is both whimsical and grounded. I aimed to capture the feeling of stepping into another place—where color, texture, food, and light invite you to slow down and be present.

I focused on what was happening throughout the day and evening—the careful plating in the restaurant, soft laughter around a table, the glow of lamps in the lounge, the calm of early morning in a themed room. The images tell not only what Hotel Gaia is, but how it feels to be there: relaxed, delighted, at ease with the unexpected.
